I read the Beam manual and it says nothing about lubricating the bearings.

What do you do?

Thanks,

Russ

Good question!! I've wondered the same thing so hopefully someone will let us know.

P.S. if you do a search for 'lube' in here, it will bring up a few suggestions.

I'm putting together an E4 kit and following Finless Bob's superb videos.

In the manual it calls for seating the main bearings with red loctite. My kit came with the bearings already seated in the blocks. They were also already seated in the belt pulleys.

Should I heat up the parts, remove the bearings, and grease them with the greaser or just leave them as they are?

Thanks,

Russ

Left all mine where they were... dripped in a drop of oil and that was it.

I left mine all in too. I didn't do it, but a small drop of oil on the bearings wouldn't hurt. The only bearings I oil regularly are the ones in my Scorpion motor.

I left mine in place. In two years, no issues at all.

Thanks everyone. I am new to this challenging hobby and worry about overlooking something or doing something wrong.
