What setup are you planning on running. Battery, motor ect.
Unless you are running a 5s setup the 45 will probably bee too low of an amp rating. It is also a pretty heavy esc for a heli of that size. Possibly a CC 60 phoenix would be a better choice.

About size i don't know. But 45A looks OK to me on the Lepton. 35A would be too low for sure. If you have no troubles with it, keep it!

The data logging on my 4S Lepton shows a lot of 60 amp work
with peaks exceeding 70 amps

Just look at the power in the battery,
3700 mah that can do sustained 20C discharges
Thats 72 amps

I agree with mudbogger - 45 amps is too low

Numerous people use the Align 75 amp ESC
Good value for money and works fine

Hi, am using 4s 4350 Mah FP batteries with Hacker 10XL
Am looking to put on the Kontronic 55 on them.... or better off with the CC60?

Kontronic Jazz 55-6-18 will be perfect. A lot better ESC than CC.

Thank You for all the replies...
Once last question, Kontronic 55 or the CC 80?

Kontronic 55 will be enough. Why use a CC ESC? The Kontronic will provide you a very good soft start and above all a perfect governor. With a capability to work as long as you want at partial throtle. The question is more Jazz 55 with 2A bec or Jazz 80 with 4A bec...

The Jazz 55 is a great ESC from what I have been told, but I couldn't afford it. I run a CC80 and the only thing I don't like about it is the soft start isn't all that soft.

Running at part throttle isn't very efficient at all and you should be changing your gearing if your flying around at less than 80% or so. The part throttle thing means nothing to me at all since it is a hack way of adjusting HS.

I use a Medusa BEC which is rated at 3.5 amps. I wouldn't use the BEC from any ESC being that it will be a big source of noise. I don't run any ferrite rings and have no glitches at all.

Castle Creations keeps coming out with better software and I hope they come out with a better soft start, then it will be the perfect ESC for me.

My CC80 just barely gets warm after 8 1/2 minute flights.

The Bec of the Jazz is a very sophisticated one, no noise coming from it. In fact less noise than with most external switching becs.

Thanks All,
I will be going for the Kontronic when my pocket allows me... :D

I agree that the Jazz soft start and BEC are very good
But the soft start also means that you can't rely on bailing out of an auto...
