Anyone who didn't see the Knight 50 3d in action at Birmingham FF really missed out. I was really impressed with the performance of this helicopter. There is only one thing stopping me from ordering one today... I do not like boom mounted tail servos.
This looks like the perfect helicopter for those of us who want 90 sized performance on a 50 size budget.

Check out the Knight forum over at RR. There are a few people that are using a mini servo on throttle and moving the tail servo up front in it's place. I ordered one last week based on all the positive feedback so far.

That 3D was setup with front mounted servo but was moved back to the stock location to show it will perform in BOX STOCK form. I agree put it up front to keep it dry and clean, a little beter balance as well. I can take out the 4 cell ION and put in the 2 cell I like to use. Now the heli just got litter as if just over 7lbs wasnt light enough.

Guess I'll just have to find the right mini-servo.. something fast and digital to use with my multigov! I still don't know what happened to the 9253 I had on my throttle on the R50. All I know is it now has a 9001 on the throttle now and it is sloowww.
Funny what you forget when you lay off flying for the better part of a year. Kinda like that brand new R149DP I found last week in a box I haven't opened in three years! How did that get there?!
