My Stinger 50 got a test hop today!

We had 20 mph gusts and rain today so I only got in a test hover flight.
I hope to to get in more flights this week.
So far I like it.
It has the new OS Hyper 50
4131 servos
401 gyro
Gohbee muffler
I like the canopy mounting which I modified slightly.
Starflight CF blades.

Hey Ray,

I tried to talk David into sending me a Stinger 50, so far not yet, but hope to have mine within the month of November. If you see David, twist his arm for me. hehehe

Thanks for sharing your photos. I like the canopy for the 50 better than the 30, will the canopy work on either bird? (don't know why it wouldn't) And what did they do different in the mounting????

The Stinger 50 has a horizontal support at the front of the radio tray. It is designed to give the canopy support.
I drilled and tapped the plastic support for 3 mm screws, drilled the canopy, installed grommets and used 2 3X15 screws for a additional canopy support. You can see the screws in the previous picture.

I would think that the 50 canopy would work on a 30. I can verify this tomorrow.

I checked and found that you could easily use the Stinger 50 canopy on the 30.

No. It is a clorox bottle. It is thinner than the Raptor clorox bottles.
