After a week or so of installing servos and doing various system checks to mate my DX6 and T-REX, the transmitter beeped me a message requesting a battery charge. I plugged the charger into the transmitter and into the wall and took a break. After several minutes I pulled the charger and turned on the transmitter to verify that everything was working. I was more than a little distressed to find that the transmitter would not even power on. A little investigative work showed that the battery output was down to 2 volts. A test of the charger showed a no load voltage of 5.8 volts and 4.8 volts into a 250 ohm resister to simulate a load for the 50 ma it is supposed to charge at. The charger label says it should put out 11.6 volts at 50 ma. Although I don't know if I would ever use it since LI-PO batteries are finickey enough with a balanced charge, the receive plug showed a no load voltage of 4.8 volts, and 3.0 volts into a 150 ohm resister. Here the charger lablel says it should put out 5.6 volts at 50 ma. Oh yes, while I could not find anything about them in the DX6 manual, I suspect the RX and TX LED's are supposed to llight either during or after a successfull charge. Neither LED ever came on.
Xmiter, battery and charger are on their way back to Horizon.
