Hey guys, just ordered my first heli, Titan 50. I have been flying planes for a while and really enjoy it but after watching the guys at the field fly there heli's I had to have one. So here's the question and I have seen it asked many times. WHAT SERVO'S?? All my radios are JR, so I was hopeing the are some JR users here one the Freak. I am looking at the Hitec HS-5475HB servos for all but the throttle. My heli will have one futaba servo for the tail with the FUT 401 gyro/9254 combo. I am open to suggestions. Thanks guys for the help.

Instead of going with the 5475hb, you might want to consider the 6635hb or 635hb which is around that price also. The 5475hb is a bit slower and low in torque for modern standard, but it will still work in the r50. If you already have them, use them, if you haven't go with something faster and stronger. For throttle, all you need is some standard servo like a hitec 325hb, since there is no load on it.

If budget allows, hitec 6965hb or futaba 9252 will be great. I don't fly big planes, just 40size and I only use 475hb on mine, so I have no experience with better servos in plane, but there is definately a difference in feel between a standard servo and a faster and stronger digital like 6965hb.

9252's are the best bet, I used 5625's on the one I built for a friend of mine and they are pretty zippy.

I am using a JR radio, but went with Futaba 9252 servos. I thought about many others, but these servos are very proven in the 50s. 188.97 for 3 of them from DEETEE is hard to beat.

Thanks for the help with picking the right servos for my first heli. Now I just have to save up a little more cash to get the good servos instead if the middle of the road servos. Again thanks for the help with that and I'm sure I will have a few more questions ofr you guys.

Its so cheap I am thinking about getting another set of 3 for a future heli... or maybe replace the cheap servos in my 30. Great service too, I've ordered 3 times from DeeTee including a set of these servos and have had them on my doorstep in 3 days every time.
