"all other flight modes"
Oh you are talking about throttle hold ok......
Does the Stinger 30 have a driven tail, such that the tail is rotating during auto rotations?

All of the Stinger helies have a driven tail unless you have a very old one.
What is your gain setting for HH and non HH.
Does the gain setting stay the same when you switch to Other conditions like Idle up or throttle hold.
Look at the servo monitor screen and switch in and out of throttle hold to see if the gain and rudder channels actually stay the same. The only channel that should move is throttle to idle. Also make sure that you do not have revo or some other mix enabled in hold.

Sounds like TH is set for rate mode. It could also (most likely) be a rudder offset enabled for TH.

just checked the monitor and the rudder stays the same aux 2 is the only thing that moves if i move the aux 2 switch nothing moves when i flip the hold switch. so, after a conversion with Dave at gohbee and he in turn spoke to one if his buddies and they suggested that the 401 gyro needs to have the gain adjusted through the atv's or travel adjust on jr radios so i have made the suggested adjustment and will give it a shot tomorrow so we will see. if that doesn't work i have one more thing to try concerning hold idle i been thinking about this all night and it's also worth a shot and gain before i made the change was 86 and 15 and the revo is not active

oh and one other thing as far as the tail being driven it mine didn't have the constant drive gear i had to but it and I've had it for a couple of months since
just after christmas last year

Correct me if I'm wrong Jeff, but i do believe the thirty does not come with a driven tail. It has to be weathervane auto'd so to speak. A quick "fix" that the rappy boys used ( and myself before I got the 50's) is putting a thick rubber O-ring around the bottom of the shaft . double it up if you have to. Just want it to provide some friction between the main gear and the shaft. Hope this helps.
Oh and is your Gyro rate set to Gear or AUX2??

it doesn't i had to buy the constant drive hub part#20118 to make the tail driven and the gyro rate is set to aux 2

I think the 9303 and DX7 program the same if so I just got very familiar with it sooooooo, we should be able to figure it out. I'll check tommorrow and get back to you.

Your right, I had a brain fart. I'm getting old.
It was talked about at one time to make the 30 a constant drive tail but was never implemented. It has been a really longtime since I have seen an actual stock 30 heli.

no problem, i did get it figured out this morning after talking to a buddy of mine that i hang out with apparently he helped another guy at the field that was having the same problem and it turned out to be that the heli didn't have enough rudder so i went back and made sure that the pitch slider went to full travel both directions and adjusted to achieve full travel with no binding, and the tail is holding in hold now. I.E. i didn't have enough rudder. and my gain came down from 86 to 70 big difference i think
thanks for the help and fly safe
