This one is one I'm looking at also. It will be easier for me to atach it anyway.

Thank you!
I will probably do LiftBag's dual mosfet conversion when i change the tail motor (if it will be damaged due to the capacitor missing) and not be bothered with soldering the capacitor back. will probably be better when i change to 120sr tail i guess...
(see my convers with liftbag)

Has anybody seen this new double brushless converter for the mcpx?
http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=110_266_550&products_id=8028
I just noticed this the other day.
This looks like a good option. Has anyone tried it yet?

I haven't seen any one get it yet. They need to put what kv motor it can run on it and what pinions you can use on it . There is really not that much info on it.
Have a blessed week and weekn

Could you please post a list of all the parts used to do this conversion?
Nice video too :Bang

I'm pretty sure this is his set up as far as the brushless mod. It's the same setup I use.
Here is the motor. It's the HP05s chose the 9 tooth pinion.
http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera43BLMotorEsc.htm
Here is the signal converter. Its the $15 one if you live in the states
There is no resistor on this converter so it needs to be soldered on the spot on the back of the board.
http://thesteve.ca/walkera/
Here is another converter. This one has a resistor installed. So you can solder to the main motor + terminal. It's easier to solder to this point but throttle response isn't as good.

Here is the helimax esc that he is using.

That is very cool. I took a slightly different route with my heli setup. I replaced the e-flite power harness with a dual harness with thicker wire. I am running two 300ma 1cell in parallel. My setup used to bog down with the stock harness with the pitch set to 70 or above. Now I have the option of running it with a single cell, or two singles in parallel, and it doesn't bog down even if I only plug in one cell. I currently have my pitch set at 86%.

Wanted to thank tnt, matt, and all the others. For some reason I couldn't get the mod to work unless i soldered to the sweet spot on the back side of the board. As mentioned, This is the microcontroller side of the gate net of the DC motor transistor, in this post http://mattbockman.com/?p=6 Man that was a tough solder job and I had to do it twice since I couldn't figure out what I messed up and took it all back down to basics. If others just cant get the motor to spin up using the resistor and the back side of the motor plug try the sweet spot. I can tell you this thing with the 120sr tail is just a power house that takes everything you give it. Flips, funnels, rainbows, tic tocs are insane fast, and much more I can't do I am sure. I have pitch pumped this thing as hard as you can.... Off to charge more batts
ps after writing this i was just closing all my tabs and i think i had the motor wire on the wrong poll with the resistor anyone having issue check that it is on the left side if you are wiring to the back of the plug... ugh

My HP06V2 with 10T indoors in a small hall.
Pitch travel is 75%, almost too much for the tight space.
Damn, the timer went off after 3:30, but I really wanted to keep on.
This little bugger makes you addictive ;-)
Setup:
RKH frame
MH Landing gear
MH blade grips
MH center piece
MH swash
RKH tail supports

What tail fin is that? It looks pretty cool and it looks like it would help with the air flow over tail blades.

I once worked as a desin engineer, but I must honestly admit, I didn't had the unobscured airflow in mind when I did this thing...
But I was forced to make this mod, because the 4g3 tail rotor is very brittle, even after boiling it in water, and it doesn't like to make contact with the floor :-(
The fin is made of the curved part of a cracked Align 450 SE V2 tail fin.
The mounting bracket is a slice of a 450 Pro umbrella gear.
Never throw away anything, the resources of our planet are limited:thumbup:
It may look a bit bizarre but on the other hand it is quite unique:lol:

I have a trex450 umbrella gear in the trash can as we speak. Lol. I may try this.

here's my new toy. just got it on friday. spent the weekend tweaking. she flies a treat!!!
take it easy on my 6-yr-old cameraman. it was his first time behind the camera trying to follow me.
• Hawk-RC ESC+converter kit with power split from the source to the board and ESC (board was getting shut off due to insufficient juice)
• HP05 brushless motor
• RKH Frame
• SR120 cut tail mod
• Microheli CNC swash
• Custom cut solid main carbon shaft with pinned main gear (press on would not stay pressed on with this motor)
• KBB mains

How did you go about pinning the Main Shaft ?

How did you go about pinning the Main Shaft ?
1/16" bit through the shaft at the slot in the main gear. drove a servo screw in. i would have done it with a 1/64" bit like the other two holes, but i ran out of those super-tiny screws.
