I seen the brushless upgrade you listed is discontinued at Tower. Can I get it somewhere else? Thanks Gary

Just scroll down the same page, and follow the links to purchase them separately.
Note: This motor does not fit the Stock, or MH frames without frame modification!

A bad case of dumb thumbs, makes an impressive sound when it hits the ground, the main gear went skidding across the floor as well.

Whoo hooo! Just finished my 4 hour BL conversion... kinda.... Looks like I will need to trade my bother-in-law his V1 board for my V2 as the tail will not hold as I expected. Spins up great! Sounds like it has some awesome power. Can't wait until it is flyable. Celebrating with a delicious Lagunitas lil' Sumpin and Aberlour 12 yr ::cheers

I have just modded my mcpx with the exact setup as you. Helimax motor, helimax esc and 9t.
What settings are you using on your tx? ATM, I have 70% max throttle and stock pitch curve which gives me 4 mins of hover flight. I want to see what works well for other people

you guys using the sr120 motor and blade what are you cutting it down to? what length?
andyc
03-08-2012, 10:12 PM
I cut mind down to 145mm. That is the original length of the extended tail boom and works well for me.

I try to keep my length as short as possible without having contact with the blades. It keeps the ballance nice. I'm at 151 main shaft to tail shaft.

Great vid Diablol. Curious what your total weight is with batts?
Also that is a bit lacking in the best/strongest 1S category (Was reading your video information). My 915 has tached 7500-7700 RPM peak with 220G consistant negative thrust on a scale. Using the XP12A w/ BLHeli flash on a 9T w/ Hyp 550's.

I know that is not "the strongest" any more since the 915 :) . I was just happy about the power :). I think the weight was about 70-75 gramms. I dont have it anymore..building 2s/3s..need for more.
