View Full Version : Spectra G pitches up in FFF

Hey all,

I trimmed the spectra for a level hover maybe even a little nose down. But everytime I put it into FFF the nose will gradually pitch up. I have to keep forward stick into it, both upwind and down wind.

Any ideas on what might be going on?

Thanks

Mike

make it nose heavy
add flybar weight

like all helis , hover trim is different to fff trim , basically because the advancing blade is already moving forward in fff, and generates more lift than the retreating blade ..

that's why most radios have the ability to store different trim settings for each flight mode ...

Too much top end pitch can also do the same thing ...

Also you might try changing the size of the horizonital fin. That is how contest pilots trim the heli for FFF.

Make sure you have your paddles even with your swashplate

Also try heavier paddles. The stock white ones are too "unstable" and "pitchy" for me I find the machine is much more rock solid with the pro II paddles though those are not made any more. I think the black version (heavier) of the stock white ones is probably just as good as the Pro II's but I haven't tried them.

You can see my heli in my gallery.
