Hello, I'm having a hard time getting my ESC ( Koby 90) happy in my L400. The canopy seems to not have as much room up front as I thought it would. Will anyone with an L400 please post "naked" pics of your L400? I looked through the pictures thread, but most of them are clothed :rotf
Thanks a bunch.
Richard.

Thanks bud, the cables on the Koby 90 are so long. I might mount it on the side like on my old T500.

You probably won't be able to mount it neatly up front if you don't shorten the wires. I'm going through the same thing on a new build, I really don't want to shorten my ESC wires, still trying to find a good compromise.

Nice and neat Gravydrive. Always nice to see when someone takes pride in doing a good job with wiring up their heli.
I used to go to the effort to keep everything neat, but after going through a bad patch of crashes I just gave up and let the wires do their own thing. Since then no crashes (Murphy’s law) but it bothers me every time I take the canopy off to put in a new battery.

Thanks Bullfrog! I know the feeling ;)

These are crappy pics but you get the idea...Downside to mounting this way is that depending on the battery, the esc leads are a little short/hard to plug in, and you have to remove the esc to change out mainshaft...thought I'd try it here first as it gets better airflow than under the canopy.

I finished yesterday, put more hours into cabling than assembling the L400. Now that I think of it, it would be nice if Mikado made a baby 500/600 frame for the 400. Cabling the 500/600 frames are the easiest of all the Heli's I've owned.

How is it getting better air flow? From the rotor wash? Side ways flight?

Mine seems cooler mounted down there (from the one time I've measured). Must be rotor wash.
