After I crashed the heli I replaced the head with a HDX300 CNC System and main gear. It was a simple swap of parts. The only problem now is the heli will not lift. Not sure what is wrong I held the heli in my hand and that's when I found it was trying to go down instead of up.

Mind you I am very new with the heli but I can't seem to find out what is wrong. The blades are on correctly, the wiring seems to be correct. Any idea what it could be?

Do you have the motor connection oriented on the 3 n 1 correct?

What direction do the blades spin?

You need to re-adjust the servo (and possibly blade pitch) linkage rods for the HDX head. Unplug the main and tail motors. Power up the TX then the CPP. Switch to "idle up mode" and check the blade pitch at half throttle. You should be at 0 pitch at half throttle in "idle up" mode. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

If your head is spinning in the propper direction, Buzzkill is correct... you'll need to check the pitch of your blades. This can be done with a Pitch Gauge (I use the one from Align). They're not too expensive, but you may be able to borrow one from a fellow pilot if you know any. Anyway... Like Buzzkill was saying... it should be around 0 pitch when the the throttle/pitch stick is centered, and around +10-+12 when all the way up.

Are you using the stock transmitter?

You may have a new problem if you bought the same head I did, the "Blade TX" The fly bar is under the main rotor blades and the stock one is above. This makes the pitch work bacwards. And you can't servo reverse the throttle or the 4-1 wont initialize. You are headed down the "Full HDX300 Seperates Upgrade Path" and personally, I would advise you make a U-turn, send the head back, and stick with the plastic head. Cheaper to repair. I did exactly what you did and I ended up with a HDX300 heli completely seperate from my Blade CP (HB CP2 actually). Most of the advice here would be to fly the blades off the CP, save your money and buy a Trex SE. That's what I wish I had done.

Ok...what I finally did is change the direction of the motor and it seems to have created some lift. Might need more picth as well and when trying to hover the tail spins like crazy. Not sure what is up there.

What is the propper direction for the head to spin?

Sounds like the tail motor is reversed also.

If you're looking down, the blades should spin clockwise.

Well the only way I could get the heli to try and lift is to have the blades go counter clockwise. This is every since I put the CNC Head on. When it was going clockwise the pitch was making the heli want to fly through the ground. The more stick the more it wants to go down.

AAhhh... there's the problem.

Several of the CNC heads require that you reverse your servoes for them to work.

The Microheli CNC head (below) is one that I know for certain requires this. (the levers all operate backwards)

Woa there, I have a Microheli head and didnt reverse the servos. Mine flies fine. Dont you have a different frame than the stock one?
