So I have been flying my 6HV for about 3-4 months now and haven't really had any issues but it never felt as locked in as my Vbar on Logo 400 I have. Seems that something is off and it doesn't flip 100% straight. I just had a few flights and noticed when I do a climbout and go back to mid stick it would lean right. Also the piros are not 100% as well.

I tried a few different tapes including the stock BeastX tape but I don't believe it changed anything. It always seems pretty much the same. Currently I have a piece of grey 3M tape on the stock plastic gyro tray then aluminum plate 1.5mm thick and then the beast is mounted with a second piece of 3M grey tape. Sits solid.

Something makes me think it is something mechanical. Any suggestions?

no it's probably a vibration issue. Try one single layer of the grey 3m tape w/out the metal plate. I'd also suggest the upgrade carbon gyro plate

could it be a weak servo????

I use Hyperions DS20X-SMD on cyclic. I guess I can't exclude the possibility of these servos not centering well however I have not yet seen reports of such cases. I'll keep playing with the tapes, maybe lube the head dampeners (haven't done that yet). as far as vibrations, not even sure where to start... however I don't see anything out of the ordinary though like the blurry tail fin or head/skid shakes.

"So I have been flying my 6HV for about 3-4 months now and haven't really had any issues but it never felt as locked in as my Vbar on Logo 400 I have. "

I have a Logo 600 and a 6HV, both set up with V-Bars and the same on-board equipment (receiver, servos, etc.-except that the Logo has slightly upgraded servos as I got it later). Both have the same main an tail blades also.

The 6HV is more precise and feels a bit more locked in than the Logo (which also flies very well), so something seems to be slightly off with your 6HV.

You might go through the BeastX setup again, making sure that the swashplate is exactly level where it should be etc. The machine should not display the leaning tendencies that you have described.

I agree with Mr. Cook's assessment-that vibration may be causing the issue, as this can cause different kinds of drift.

In terms of the "locked in" feeling, that might, to some extent, be the difference in feel between the V-Bar and the BeastX that you are noticing. They do not "feel" exactly the same, if that makes sense (although both work well).

I fixed my leaning issues. Basically bought a carbon tray, put a piece of Align PU gel pad and put a zip tie over the top with a piece of thick dubro fuel line I had lying around (i.e. the milton mod they call it). Voila. Pitch pumps are now straight up and down without any weird leaning behavior, flips are straight too as well as climb-outs . Flies great. Can't wait to see how the BeastX v3.0 firmware will perform. Should be awesome. Absolutely love the 6HV!!!:clappp

I just figured your heli was fixed when it switched party affiliations and went from Republican to Independent. ;)

Good to see you got it working.

cool
I was going to recommend the carbon tray next :)
I just got one myself and realize how much of a superior part it is

I just installed this tonight on my FBL /eastX conversion tonight. Nice upgrade! Had to split my frames and convert to the FBL frames. Allowed much cleaner wiring.
