Hey, why isn't there a support team for the CP/CPP, CX/CX2? Looks like every other "name brand" helo on the freak has a support team listed. I say we all get together (all eight of us) and march on Washington!!!! :flamesuit

oh, yeah I hadn't noticed that Good eye buzzkill. Who here knows enough to be on the support team?

I think those that know have moved on long ago. Occasionally we are visited by those kind enough to grace our presence (perhaps the trex room is full? :WOW ) and shed light on why our birds don't fly as good as those that cost 3x more than ours. LOL

Personally, I am a PROUD owner of both a CX2 and a CPP. Just for the record, I have enough money in my CPP to have bought a 450 or 600! (Including replacement/experiment parts). LOL

Hahaha, yeah same here. I really like my CPP. I want to get a trex too in the near future but I have a lot of fun with my CPP. It was really hard to learn on but now that I can fly it doesn't seem all that difficult. I don't know anyone who flys helis so anytime someone shows even the slightest bit of interest I talk their ear off about them. LOL

I started with a Blade CP and had a T-Rex 450 SE flying 4 months later. I basically used the Blade exclusively until I had forward flight down, and have just spent a crapload installing a Spectrum Receiver (6100), HH Gyro (G90), and Brushless Setup (Park 370 4100kv, and CC Phoenix 25). I love both of my helis and try to fly each one regularly.

I have G3.5, but no simulator compares to the real thing. There's a certain beauty in knowing that you have to fix what you wreck.

The 450 is a lot easier to fly, but I always make my leaps forward with the Blade CP.

Anyone want to give up a T-Rex 600? I got to hover one, and now I can't get it out of my head! It just screams "I can kill you."

Well we are more than open to having a Blade CP pro "support" but we really want some one that:

#1 Comes to HF a lot
#2 Likes to help and type the same thing over and over or has "mad search skillz"
#3 Knows a bucket load about the CP

Fact is most people "move on" from the CP although quite a few folks have one in their collection.

If you find someone let an admin know.

ya, now that you mentioned it. but how do you get on the support team? how much do you know in order to be in the support team?

the blade was my only heli up to date, having alot of fun with it, i've always told myself that i'd get a trex in the near future, but haven't done so yet, i want the V2, but part support is a problem now, and besides, there's still room for me to grow on the blade. i dun have a sim either, just my blade adn i. i've self-taught from hover to inverted hover right now and am starting inverted ff, and upright backward flight. i've put a hh gyro on it, dd tail, and bought a futaba 7chp for everything in the future and the blade. i know i'll love the trex, but god knows when i'll make up my mind and get it. after all, i'll still have to shell out ~1K even though i have the servo, tx, rx.

Well im a beginner to the cp pro or any other heli for that matter.I read alot of post about people down grading the cp pro.IMO its a nice heli for what you pay for.Maybe one day i will cough up the money for a trex. But for now the cp pro is excellent IMO.But that could be because i haven't flown anything else.I guess its kinda like i can't miss what i never had kinda thing lol

Exactly for $250 or so you will not find much better BUT you will crash it a lot if you are a total newbie trying to learn. With a larger helicopter you can focus more on hovering and orientation... less on helicopter repair and frustration.

I know folks that learned on a Raptor that did not crash till like their 80'ish flight. I destroyed my Raptor 60 after 20 or so flights because I did not let the gryo set and it piroed like mad on take off. Being a newbie I panicked!!! No throttle hold and -SMASH-. I got a Trex as a 2nd helicopter thinking I knew how to fly O.K. and my first flight did not last 15 seconds. It was a hard lesson.

Bigger helis like to hover more than their mini brothers.

You are generally selected by one of the the admins, then it is put up for a vote in the current forum support area. Everyone throws in their 2 cents then a decision is made.

I'll try to help out whenever possible, I don't necessarily need to be an official support rep, but if we all try tossing what we've learned out there, we should be cool.

Who is qualified? Certainly not myself. Maybe we could "designate" our own support people if they are willing?

I posted this to try and stir up some loyalty to the blade series. I know eventually people move on to better helicopters but hey, don't forget us Little people! Most that have better helos start with the blades or similar product.

We like this little heli. With a few hop ups it will fill a niche very nicely.

I vote Ray as forum support!
If he is willing I think he would be great!

I second the vote. Will we have to hog tie him?

If there were an "official" Blade support person, I guess it would be cool. Although since this brand of heli is such a popular intro to helis, trying to wrangle all the newest of the newbies (myself included) it could be a trying duty...

I'm just glad we have a fairly talkative (and experimental - , or maybe just "mental ;) ) group of people flying these little beasties.

LMAO. Can you imagine the glut of questions the people would get?

"Why doesn't this thing fly by itself?"
"It moves a lot, is it supposed too?"
"How long before I can do 3D like the pro's?"

You get the picture.....

Knowledge, experience is the qualifying factors but patience would be a MUST!!!!

I vote for Ray too (if he is interested). Him and Kyle have taken it from stock to extreme. I can't think of anyone more qualified with a Blade. They have really stuck with it too, despite the other helis they fly. There are new vids up all the time of Kyle flying these helis better than most of us will ever fly any heli.

The main problem people have with these Blades is they are not willing to put the time in to learn how to set them up properly. After spending 4 or 5 times as much on a TRex, they go through the proper steps. If these steps were taken with the Blade it wouldn't have such a bad reputation.

No matter how you set it up, the stock tail will eventualy fail. Sooner than later. That being said (over and over) I got an awesome flight with my CPP in tonight! My best ever. I feel like I did when I first got a heli. No I cant do 3D stuff but I have to tell you, my little CPP ran like a champ, at least the best a CPP can anyway. I was very impressed.

I am always stoked after a really good flight. These CPs are a b**tch to learn and fly but when things go well it is very rewarding.
