What do you think about my wire routing? Yes I zip tied the Align serial connector so I wouldnt forget it as I didnt really have a good place to bolt it. I ran the ESC and motor wires in front of the motor and zip tied them so they wouldnt touch the motor on maneuvers. I originally had the ESC on top but made more space for a larger battery this way, anyone having heat issues with it tucked on the side like this? Not that it got airflow on top I guess since the canopy covers it all.

Dawg-gonit Blueprint! We got the same damn canopy! Pictures don't do it justice for $50! I have a similar one from Sick Canopies on my 700, and that was $165! Today my friend and I where talking about the whole Align "stealing from Compass" thing when it dawned on me what DFC means. I think it means that at Align, "we Don't Fu$#'n Care" who invented it because we will use it anyways!!". Still, the 600 is my favorite heli. I have a Goblin somewhere between Italy and Yuma, so we will see if it's an all around better heli.

It really is a sweet looking canopy. I had the same one on my trex 500. Here are more pictures:

My original canopy was led together with stickers and blenderm tape. I was going to order another from Sick but for $50 it is worth the gamble! I will buy from them again!

Has anyone else had any problem with the numerical values while changing the head over to the DFC with Vbar? My old head had the 8 degree value at 85, but now it's at 70. I'm wondering if I need longer arms to move the ball link out a bit?

I see your main batt connection to the ESC is different than I was considering. You wired the leads from the ESC in series to accept each individual batts leads instead of making a series adapter and connecting the batt leads to it, then a single connector to the ESC. Hmmmm, will have to look into that as soon as my TriCrimp comes in.

I guess that extra piece on the APPs I'm seeing is the security clip I've read about. Supposed to keep the connectors from coming apart? Do you think they're really going to be necessary or will they hold together well enough without the clip?

With the connectors sitting so tight in the canopy, they really aren't going to separated. But i still Iike the clips for safety.

I should have a photo or two to post soon - I build rather slowly, and at the moment there's not really anything to distinguish my nearly naked frame from anyone else's. But I have a couple of ideas that might interest.

Meanwhile, does anyone know the stock or recommended throw radius of the rudder servo horn? The kit provided three nice alu arms for the cyclic servos, but rather feeble looking (by comparison) plastic thingys for the rudder servo. I have a fourth alu horn I want to use, but stock it's too long so I trimmed it. That left only the inner threaded hole for the ball but I think that even that hole is a little wide of center. I'll drill and tap another hole if I can get the correct radius.
