Knight 3D RTF at 7lbs 2oz suits me just fine
Vance buy a new scale :D

+ & - 15 Right

Parts availability is the only place I could see it lacking. Parts price may also be a concern.
I must say align has built a reputation for quality (and don't ask me how cause I remember the days of buying 3 parts to get one that worked.)

Now lets all play nice

Now Steve....you WERE at Triple Creek right?.....you WERE there when everybody put their 50's on the scale right?

Yes I was and it was close to 8lbs (7.8 if memory serves me) I was not saying it was not the lightest heli weighed but I have found that the 3 biggest lies are how much you heli weighs how much you plane weighs (ya plankers get on that one too) and how fast your boat goes. Weight is just a number.
The way I have seen you throw around the Knight is proof that it can be a great flying heli. I like the design. In fact, it mirrors what I have been trying to get Charley to do for my EVO for a long time (Charley are you reading this?)
BTW...Did Mike get to fly one yet. I was wondering how well they crashed
Sorry Mike I could not resist.

I'm not ashamed to admit I was wrong so with that said I must retract some of what I previously said. I flew my Evo again last night and it's definately not as snappy as my Knight was. From what I remember of the 3D I still think my Kasama Titan is faster on the cyclic but it's running between 8-9 degrees of cyclic. I couldn't get more than 7.5 or 8 out of the Knight without binding. I also had the 2nd run with the thicker phase block so I wonder what else was changed. Overall I think I may have jumped the gun selling my 3D but I'll wait for the 600N before jumping to a new 3D. Unless of course I find a good deal on a used one :D

Its all good Gscott!!! ...The one thing that has impressed me the most with the Compass helis is that they listen to the customers and Team pilots about areas of improvement....they are only going to get better from here.

My 3D is pretty darn light, It's weighing in around 7.3lbs and definetly ROCKs.

Parts availibility is not an issue as HeliProz is well stocked as is MTA Hobbies and Motion Unlimited USA always has a good supply. No for the COST....CHEAP...how do I know...Well yes...even I crash!

Did about $25 worth of damage to the heli, I'm not complaining.

SteveL, this would be a great heli for you no j/k.

Look into it.

Yes The Knight 3D at Tripple Creek Event was the lightest of the 50's that was weighed. Eric Lis even is half of heli (lol trimmed for weight) on the scale and the knight was still over 3 oz lighter. Yes the 7lb 2oz comes from Eric L.'s scale.

Well maybe we can have a pic next time.

Mike you know I don't crash...You have to fly to crash :?

Jax anything under 8lbs is light.

Im thinking 7lbs even is possible if your willing to spend a little money....like replacing all the bolts with titanium replacements

Sorry guys but I have to chime in here. It was my scale, and I was  SHOCKED to see it weigh 7lbs5oz. I thought my XeroG Rush was light, but my jaw dropped. Rodney it was 5oz lighter, my XeroG is 7lb10oz. I will have the scale again in JAX.

I have since reworked my Titan with stock TT parts. My Buddy :woohoo can`t fly anything with aftermarket parts. It started at 7lbs14oz. It has 29degrees with stock TT parts. When it flys in JAX in 2 weeks "dremel in hand" it will be less than the last Knight I weighed, and yes it will have a Hyper on STEROIDS in it. :Bow Perhaps there will be a :smokin: pilot there to compare them? So we can eliminate the :bs

My Buddy, and I put a Knight together 3, or 4 months ago. Nice Heli for the money.

Now I tried to put some humor in here! NO Fortin you can`t fly it!

My knight sport is down to 7.6 ounces with a half tank of fuel ready to fly on a postal scale! I got a fat lipo also. s9252's, tj pro, Logictech 6100 combo (saved alot of weight there). Rotortach tail blades, TT main blades, cant beat the price and it fly's insaine I cant wait to fly a knight 3d. Or think about this 90 compass is working on if it ever comes out!
