Whats up guys. I recently purchased 3 6100's. I called Horizon yesterday and asked a tech about the issue. He stated that all current 6100's have the bug but only some will ever notice. He also said that some guys with cheap foamies and such may not find the new firmware necessary, but if you flew anything of value you should definately have it done. This is from Horizon. Well I packed my receivers up and shipped them out. Its a no-brainer for me. Although I really hated to send 3 brand new receivers in that I just got. :arggg:

Why do people think about the value of their models over maybe a safety issue?
I could care less about the model, but I surely don't want a model to hit someone or their property. I have intentionally crashed a model before to keep that from happening.

t-rexn8 .... Yeah un-commanded full down elevator on a foamy is no big deal! Why :dontknow Horizon did not pull the supply chain off the LHS shelves is a big mystery to me. My LHS learned of the problem thru ME (Thanks Heli-freaks) and sent all his back.

Good point. Or hitting yourself and being injured. Its just a bad situation in every way.
Just think about all the people that are not aware of the problem and flying still. I Hope everyone is notified somehow and is at least aware of the safety concern.

Hi guys,
I live in Slovenia and would love to send my AR6100 to Spectrum but don't know where to. UK? I had the "full elevator down" issue twice now (once in flight) and I'm not willing to risk it again if I don't have to. My LHS told me to buy a new one :arggg:

UK or US.
Or is there a EU distributor that will do the update?
I REALLY wish Spektrum would come up with a USB link so we can update at home. I have to send 20 Rxes in batches for the last update. I really don't want to do that again.

That would be great. But I seriously doubt they will.

Got them back yesterday! :YeaBaby:
Both had new covers on them and v1.6 stickers. They also came with a receipt that explained the work performed on them, which included a performance check to make sure they were working OK!!
They also included a sheet explaining the whole QuickConnect system and how it works.
I am very happy with Horizon's service!!!!! :noteworthy
