You know Tony,

If you get too many Ions too close together you might reach critical mass

Damn , bad day ! crashed my 10s Ion , Man! it hasnt been flown since Andy Rummer Flew it at IRCHA, details , flight 1 went fine , great , man what a nice bird , second flight , about 3 minutes into the flight , I did a fast flyby and went vertical, started into a 540 and about its second turn, something flew off, and then the whole tail gear went south, servo rod , drive shaft and all , well that opened my eyes , here it is vertical and spinning so fast that its a blur, well I started stering the sticks, trying to get in right side up , but it went upside down at a blur, huh? and was a tad tilted and started sliding downwards , so I gave neg. and started stering the sticks again and by the time I got it up right , she went all the way across the sky , too far! so I stering the sticks again until it started coming halfway back to me and when it became level I hit throttle hold, and came down into the tundra bushes, which are about 6 feet high, damage , carbon gear toast, canopy has another crack in it . and no tail, boom even broke where the gearbox use to be , and I dont have a clue why it ripped off. but owell , Im getting better at half way autoing , KINDA ! just no where to land it except my my car.

Bummer...
Did you loose the tailbox and all?
That is an expensive crash if you have to replace that.

I feel your pain....
Lost mine about a week ago. Not a bad crash, but bad enough. The new boom and TT is here just waiting on the blades and some other parts. :(

hey , yeh! I lost the tail gear box , torque tube , servo rod , but its all back together , took the parts off my fury E just so I could fly again before winter hits . both the fury and HV ion are down , kinda , had a 7s4p swell on me , reason why , a bec hooked into 1 of the batteries and not both , so Im going back to the 4.8 volt battery on all my helis , just had some 1950 FAUP made into RX packs , added 4 oz , but owell

Tony,
Go 6v regulated you will love it. :D
I have a 2450 Li-ion and a Fromeco Arizona.
It is a bit of weight, but it just plain kicks butt on 6v.
