put a fuse on ur main and tail motor to protect ur 3 in 1. 7.5A for the main, 3A for the tail or so...
i've still not gotten my trex yet. i'm getting it once my exams are over, however, i'm still having alot of fun with my blade. i'm using the stock brushed motor cuz the stock tail esc won't supply enough current to the tail to counter the torque of the brushless main. i can now do lazy inverted ff and flat sideway tic tocs (as flat so that i wont loose altitude) recently, my dd tail burnt out on me, so i have to replace that... but overall a hh gyro and a dd tail and a comp tx (which you'll need if you plan on going to a better bird) is all you need to make this bird take you from hovering to... and with an addition of the brushless main and separate tail esc, you can do continuous sideway tic tocs and piro flips...

I agree with doggie
If you can fly the blade, you should try a well setup 450SE. it'll almost fly itself compared to a stock BCP.
I have a highly modded CP pro... its at the bottom of my sig.

Well I finally got all the parts for my CPP and drilled the tail, what was left of the Tailboom out, got the new boom in OPPS it had abut 2 deg up in it. I did not drill it straight. well got everything back together, and flew it at lunch today. It flew great. Little left trim for the tail, nice tail in hover. Alittle forward stick great, A little back stick to back it up and well I think I need a new frame, and a tail motor. The tail motor is in stock here we bought 3 of them. The boom is OK but the frame is cracked where the boom goes into it. Oh well I will get the parts in a week and well get back to work on it. One of those things.

haha, mine is soooooo cracked that more or less the boom is fixed with gobs of 5 min epoxy :D . it's still doing good after like 50 flights of '3D' on the blade.

Were should I start.
I will say my Blade Cp is about two more crashes from the trash.
I have been wanting to get into flying helis for a couple years now and finally got my first heli a couple of months ago. I had a good crash and just finished replacing all the broken parts. Now the whole heli wants to spin out of control. Not sure what to do now.
Proud Cp owner.......did you check that your tail motor isn't bad? the crash may have burned it out...
i love my cpp, it's gonna be my 3d trainer...no way am i trying anything new on the 450 hehe...

I too got a Blade CP Pro as a newb and I crashed it SOOOOO many times and just went right out and spent whatever it took to fix it, upgrade it and get it back up in the air to be ready for its next "crash"!!! I love this R/C Helicopter sport and if nothing else it brought me into the sport...
I NEVER did get it to fly right, hover very well and fly very far at all, so I bought a T-Rex 450SEv1 and it now my CPP is "Wall Art". I will say this too... I still "like" my CPP, and I really am glad that I bought it, tried it and stayed in helos' but now that I have my 450SE, it turns out that I am an OK pilot after all. Within two battery packs in my 450 I was flying circles and hovering at will. So if nothing else, it did teach me ALOT about flying helo's. Like I say, I wouldn't trade it but nor will I "try" and fly it anymore... I did repaint the CPP to Bright Orange and if nothing else, it looks GREAT... again; as "Wall Art"
I did not want to come off as a hater so when I was offered to fly a Blade CP today I bought it as hard as I could.
My opinion has not changed. It is O.K. for $250
I still would not suggest it to a beginner it is a handful to fly. I will however reiterate.
IF YOU FLY THE BLADE CP WELL...
BUY ANY HELICOPTER YOU WANT ... WITHOUT HESITATION...
BECAUSE YOU ARE A GOOD PILOT.
:OMG CP Pilots
I flew a friend of mine's who is a beginner.... I felt the exact same way... it does not fly well and behaves uncontrollable at times.

Well since this topic has been debated many a times. here is my quick 2cents:
What do you think you are going to get for a RTF kit @ $250????
This very small light heli is what it is. Very small and very light.
My only complaint is the classic hobby toy marketing, Sell it cheap and overcharge for replacement parts....
But anyone who says its a total turd has not seen young kyle fly his.
I am no expert pilot but, after much tinkering and learning about how to tune and fix, My bcpp will hover hands off for 3-5 seconds and can be hands off in ff for even longer.
I love my cpp! I want a bigger heli when I have the $, but wont be able to fly that in the house when I get it.

besure to post some videos of your first attemptsdefinitely! i'm trying to get her perfectly balanced again before trying anything. i've gotten lazy lately since i got the rex and just been satisified with having her flying even if it meant fighting the sticks a little.
