I am thinking about getting a gasser. I am leaning toward the Bergen Intrepid Gas EB but I can't find any price lists for replacement parts. I would like to know what parts cost before buying it.

On the Bergen Home page, at the top, you'll see a search function. If typed in "boom" for instance you would get this, http://bergenrc.com/BergenPartsResultList.asp?Products_Action=Filter%2 8%22%28Descriptions+LIKE+%27%25boom%25%27%29+OR+%2 8PartNumber+LIKE+%27%25boom%25%27%29%22%29&Products_Position=PAR:
It shows tail booms for standard size birds at 14.95, EB or Twin booms at 16.95.
A search for shaft shows this, http://bergenrc.com/BergenPartsResultList.asp?Products_Action=Filter%2 8%22%28Descriptions+LIKE+%27%25shaft%25%27%29+OR+% 28PartNumber+LIKE+%27%25shaft%25%27%29%22%29&Products_Position=PAR:
Which shows mainshafts at 20.95 and torque tube drive shaft at 5.95.
For other parts just type in the item, I think you'll be surprised at what comes up!

Parts costs are consistant for a heli of this size and quality. No plastic/fantistic here.
Love my EB! :D Couldn't chose a better company, either.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can anyone tell me what some of their crash costs were? What usually gets broken? How well do the side frames and main gear hold up?
What parts are included in the crash kit(7032) for $125.95?
I really like the way the Intrepid Gasser EB looks and it really helps that their customer service is great.
Thanks again.

I've only broken a lower side once and I dropped from 50' in a piro. I think that was my worst and, excluding blades, was under $150. The blades are the killer. $250/set for those 810's.
So far, the only 'usually' for me has been spindles. With the weight of those 810's, it's hard not to bend a spindle. Otherwise, it has been very durable. I've probably put more $ into my R50 just because so much more gets damaged at once because it's all so cheaply made.

I agree with Mark ... 150 -175.00 without the blades for most oops
and those side frames usually survive most crashes ,but once in awhile they get taken out.
another usual for me is main shaft and top brg. because of those big blades . Landing gear almost always ,,, never have crashed on the head yet.

I smashed my EB a month ago (rooky idiot move).
Here's the repair order.
2 1151 BELL MIXING ARM $10.95
1 1574B LANDING GEAR-BLACK GAS (1SET) $37.95
1 1131 HEAD AXLE (NEW) $25.95
1 6025 800 NHP BLADES $130.00
1 1667 HORIZONTAL FIN CLAMP $9.95
1 1235 MAIN SHAFT $20.95
1 1250 MAIN SHAFT BEARING BLOCK ASSEMBY $20.95
1 1111 BLADE GRIP ASSEMBLY EACH W/BEARING $42.95
1 Used Titanium Muffler $80 (new are $200)
1 1170 FLYBAR 17 1/4 $10.95
1 5094 HARDWARE 3X3M SET SCREW (10) $4.95
Somehow I got lucky and didn't toast the tail. I have it rebuilt and flying nicely again. Pretty easy rebuild for a heli noob like myself. I missed some things on the initial assessment and had to reorder this and that, but overall, pretty easy to get 'em flying again.

Use google maps to find Chris B's house. See how big and fancy it is. That might give you an idea on parts price.
Seriously, I have had two crashes. Both came to a few hundred each for repairs if you don't count the blades. But, my crashes were BAD... We're talking blades hitting the ground at full RPM. Tail boom looked like a coat hanger afterwards.
My frames and landing gear survived fine. Most of my damage both times were blades, tail boom plus boom drive shaft, main gear, linkages, couple of bearings, head axle, clutch output shaft.
The price wasn't too bad when you consider how bad I turfed it, and the quality of the parts to replace.
