I have a 4 Ch that I am working with right now. I have g3 that I am working with. I have places to fly indoor and outdoors. Around the house I do worry about the noise factor, but not alot. I do have about 2+ acres around the house. I have hardly no experience but gaining it evey day.

My question is I am on a family budget but understand the funding requirments and will to work overtime and save. I am also not looking for anything tomorow either.

I am torn between electric and Nitro. I am not really interested in 3d. I believe I will like just flying about. Setup cost and avg crash cost. It does get windy here.(On top of a hill).
Can someone help me out! If someone went from Nitro to Elec or vice versa I am interested in that. Through my searching it looks like the setup would be about the same. Either buying batteries or required field equipment. Motors they all seem to be about the same with my limited knowledge.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

Clean and quiet versus oily and noisy. Some like the former, some like the latter.

Your choice. repair costs are similar, and vary more each brand/model than from nitro/electric.

With electric you pay up front for battery packs. With nitro you keep paying and paying for fuel. Long term costs seem to be about the same.

Only thing is, with electric you can damage a pack, which can drive teh crash cost up significantly, especially with a larger eletric heli.
