I bought some Mavrikk 102 tail blades for my Extreme.

The tail blade bolt fits through the blade a little tight. I imagine that that I'll have no trouble reaming out the bushing so that it is a little looser on the bolt.

However the tail blades grips are way wider than they need to be. The tail grips are 8mm, but the blades are just shy of 4mm. So I need four 2mm washers. Do other tail blades need similar [monster thick] washers?

Most tail blades are 5mm thick at the root. You should need a 1.5mm shim washer on each side of the blade. Usually the tail blades that I use have the shim washers included with the blades.

I have never used Mavrikk tail blades. I don't understand why they would not be 5mm thick at the root. The bolt hole should be for a 3mm bolt that the shank will slide thru easily.

I just measured them again... They are 5mm. (4.7mm actually) I guess I messed up on that part.

Thanks for the help.

The above item is what you need to space the tail rotor blades properly.
