Ive been telling myself I dont need a 7hv...
Im still getting my head around the 3d+ and im beginner-intermediate flyer so no need to confuse things with a 7HV... :arggg:

Patience is not one of my virtues .... So, now i find myself on this path to owning and flying a 7hv.:wow2:. Not sure if I should be happy or mad...

It will be a long term project and could be a good few months before its ready to fly due limit hobby budget..

So the project begins:

7hv kit ordered - min 2-3 weeks before its in stock.
Built myself a 1400w PSU from 2 x dell 700w units.
Purchased Hyperion 720 Duo3 charger (2x500w ports),
Purchased Sbus rx.

Possible config:
Cyclic: No idea. HV servos ideally.
Tail: Outrage Torq.
FBL: Vbar want to use gov. or BeastX (dont know if beastx works with sbus)
ESC: Hobbywing 120HV or Kontronic 80HV.
rx/servos - 2S lipo.

Batteries: 5A 35C/65C Voltz probably..

Look forward to reading everyone elses 7hv reports so I can get idea and guidance on my config/setup..

Have a look in the 7th setup thread, lots of different setups described there ;)

360 It may have been a bad batch but I was extremely disappointed in the performance of my Voltz 35c's. All four I owned crapped out long before the old fashioned Turnagies I had which were used in the same machines. Others I personally know had no luck either.
I'm sure others here will sing their praises but I'm a total convert to TP's. Exxy but worth every penny.

Probably start with the cheaper batteries voltz/turnigy. I will eventually get TP65's but I will get the heli in the air quicker starting with the cheap batteries..
