I got rid of the 3-1 on my CPP. I have a BL motor on the tail and the main with a HH Gyro. After getting rid of the 3-1 the swash isnt mixing right. I have everything plugged into the right channels. Is there something in the 3-1 that controls the mix? s it just that the stock RX and TX sucks?
I was really excited because the 3-1 and associated wirring dropped 16.7 grams. Maybe I fried the 4-1 somehow?
My ESC's are a Thunderbird 18 and a Pheonix 10.
I need to stop modding this CPP and just move on to a better bird and TX.

The 3 in one shouldn't do anything to the swash. You might have swapped your pitch and aileron servos... That would be a subtle mistake since they can be swapped if you change your radio settings.

Thats the thing all the servos are in the right channels.

The only mixing I know of that the 3-in-1 handles is revo mix for the tail rotor. Shouldn't be an issue since you're running a HH gyro.
What exactly isn't working right??

I believe its the pitch. Left and right on the stick seems fine. Add some pitch and the blades pitch like I was throttling up or down. So if I pitch forward all the servos move up. The opposite with right stick down. Its weird. I know you probably cant tell whats happening by this post but it just hard to explain. Maybe if I had a better understanding of how the servos worked together I'd be able to figure it out. But I do know that everyting is plugged in right. Right channels. Nothings reversed. Hit all the pins.
Anyoneknow how the servos interact with each other with stick movement?

Are you setting up a new radio? All you did was change the ESC for the tail, right? I'm under the impression that it was flying before this change.
If your pitch is reversed, this can be changed with the swash mixing function on the radio. (I don't think you can get into this on the stock radio... never used it... could be wrong)

No its the stock radio. Everything was fine before I removed the 3-1. AllI did was activate the BEC on the main ESC. Throtle and tail works fine. Nothing is reversed.

Switch CH 2 and 6 around, try it then with motors unplugged of course, the reason I say this is because your Elevator is acting as the pitch, either that or you have somehow managed to make the right stick control pitch. When moving left and right, does it move the correct way with Aileron? You won't hurt anything by switching the channels around and that sounds like the problem.

Ya, I tried that. Thans for the help though.

Sorry, there'll be none of that. We're here to laugh at you - uh... I mean with you.
I'm guessing you either mounted one or more of the servos backward, or mounted the arm on the servo backward (extended in the wrong direction).
We'll keep guessing progressively more inane things until you fess up!
Wait - no... your pitch servo was plugged into channel 3 - right?
No. You got your left and right mixed up and you were actually moving the throttle stick - eh?

Were you holding the radio upside down? :lolol

LMAO, I wish it was a complicated problem but truth is.........I'm an idiot. It was as simple as having it plugged into the wrong channel. :arggg: In my defense it was 2am and I was frustrated lol. Got home from work yesterday, removed the zip ties so I could sort out the wires and wouldn't you know it, I had two servos in the wrong channel. Dont ask me how I did it because I swear I checked, rechecked, plugged and replugged the servos like a 100 times. O'well that's the least of the stupid things I've done in the wee hours of the morning!! Sorry guy's but those will have to wait for "What's the stupidest thing you've done with your Heli?" post :dontknow
