I am considering purchasing a Heli Max soon, and I'm confused between the 400, 400 pro and the 450 xs. I have flown the Blade CP Pro and can hover quite nicely now.
Are the combo deals on Tower Hobbies the best deal around? Does anyone have any success stories after switching from a Blade CPP? Thanks for all your help!

400 = mechanical ccpm and all plastic construction with short tail
400 pro = mechanical ccpm with upgraded frame and head parts with short tail
450 xs = electronic ccpm with CF frame, CNC head and tail, and longer tail

the 450 is quite a bit larger than the 400 and uses longer main blades.

Tower is much cheaper than any of the local hobbyshops in my area for the MX-400. You can also look online for the Ark X-400 which is the same helicopter. I'm not sure if they have an X-450 or not.

So basically the MX-400 is a completely un-upgraded version of the heli, the MX-400 Pro is the partially upgraded version, and the MX-450 is the completely upgraded version of the heli.

Heli-Max Mx-450xs doesn't come stock with cf frame ,it's aluminum. At least mine didn't have it.. bought from Tower Hobbies

:?: Go look at the T-Rex 450 SA {NOT THE XL} at A Main Hobbies.com its the best dell 169.00 Parts or everywhere for T-Rex,s.
I have a Heli-Max 450XS at 249.99 and i like it but parts or high :arggg: and its not a t-rex.

I hate to say it but Align has much better product support than Helimax.
There are new / improved parts for the T-rex comming out every month not so for the MX400/450. Many T-rex parts will fit but important things like quality gear sets do not fit the MX and after market gears are expensive, 3 times what the stock ones are. If support is important to you go with a company that provides good support for their product.
