Hi

First of all, I'm absolutely loooovin this heli - scares the s£%t out of me at times!

I am having some problems with a high pitch noise occuring when the head speed gets up at Idle up 2. I tried reducing it to 95% aswell as taking it down a bit at mid stick but it still does it. Seems to be worse on windy days so I suspect my head speed is still too high.

Should I reduce the head speed even further or perhaps add more pitch... I'm using +/- 10deg.

If anyone has some good throttle/pitch curves that work with a 2170 EVO 20, I'd be interested to hear.

Also, have I maybe missed out greasing anything in particular that could cause this?

Cheers

Maybe you didn't place ceramic grease on each side of the washer between the main gear and the tail gear?
I use a good amount of the same grease on the one way shaft and bearing. Smooth as silk in my case. Basically where parts rotate I think it's a good idea to have some lubrication.

I do use this as well on all the moving parts on the head and tail..

Watching the Finley videos will confirm that it is best to lubricate everything that moves.. He does use fine oil, but I prefer ceramic grease as it is easy to see if there is any or not on a specific spot (white grease).

Not sure it will fix your noise problem.

Is the tension on your tail belt not too hard??

Hope you'll find your problem..
