Campac Question

How do you get a 9Z to "recognise" there is a Campac in the campac slot? I have checked the model slotes and all that is showing up is the model slots that are in the radio itself. I never get a "DO you want to initialise the Capmac Message"

Don't have to do anything special to get the 9Z to recognize a Campac is in the slot.
Go to the MSL menu and when the campac is located in the slot. There will be a list of 20 models instead of the normal list of 10 models. You have to push the NXT key to get to the additional list of ten models.
Now the Campac will not really hold an additional 10 models. It will only hold so many individual conditions. I can only get the Campac to store about 4 helis before it is full.

You trying to use a CamPAC that came with a 9C in your 9Z? If so it will not work. I think it is you need a 64K or more memory to be seen by the Z, but the Charlie sees the 32K that comes with it or something like that.

It is a 16k campac
Were would I go to get a larger one? Or would it be better to get one of the ultra pacs?

Yeah I didn't think about you trying to use the other Campac.
I suggest get the Ultra Pack with dual capacity and the service menu enabler. I have had one for a years and it works great. I have calibrated a few 9Z's that would have had to be shipped back to get that done also.

why wont the 16k work. It says it will in the manual. I am having the same problem. I think it is because it was formatted in the 9c. Could that be the problem? If so how do I reformatte it?
