We have just received word from our Futaba sales rep that Futaba will be announcing very shortly their new 2.4Ghz Spread Spectrum RF modules and receivers for their current module-based systems, as well as new Spread Spectrum based systems! This includes the 9C, 9Z, 12Z and 14MZ. These units are expected to be available VERY SOON! So, if you have been waiting for modules for your Futaba system, your wait is just about over! No longer will you have to worry about using non-Futaba brand modules in your Futaba system!

About damned time Futaba got off the stick! Obviously they must have had this in the works for a while, but the silence for so long did them no good at all.

That is really "a rumor" I have heard the same thing for some time and it has been "coming soon" for a while now. I saw pictures of it month ago.

An "Announcement" will be on the front page of the Futaba site. It is also not listed on their website anywhere

I have known Tony Stillman from Radio South for a very long time. I can assure you that Tony does not spread rumors. Any thing Tony says can be taken as a fact.
Tony has been a Futaba pilot and radio service center for over 20 years.

I am not doubting his word David. But it is still technically not an "announcement". It is "insider information that is probably true" at best.

I do agree with the Dog, this REALLY isn't an announcement. It's more of a very credible leak. If you're going to announce, you'd use the message boards your agents are on, and also your own website, not a third party.

That being said, they seem to have handled this pretty ineptly til now, so why not expect it to continue? I'll bet some Futaba exec thinks this IS how you make an announcement. :)
