I bought a Blade CX2 off of ebay a few weeks ago, and have been having fun flying around the basement, but it is too easy.

I think I am going to pick up some bad habits, as it is easier than a Simulator to fly, it almost flies itself currently......

I was looking at T-Rex 450SE's, but I think I might go with a HDX450 as quite a bit less, and still has good reviews on here.

I want a DX7 as well, as I'm sure I would regret getting a DX6 now, and want to upgrade 1 day to something nicer.

So...was leaning toward:

HDX 450 Superior Edition Helicopter Kit V3 ARTF (Sport)
Package includes:
- HDX450 SE V3 helicopter kit
- Mega Power lithium battery 2200mAH 18C 3S - Super Power
- Brushless motor 3550KV - Super Power
- Otter ESC 35A Governor Mode with built in BEC 4A/5V - NEW
- HDX Head Lock Gyro

+ a DX7 Radio

I think all I need is a diecent LiPo Balancing charger, and I would be good to start......besides extra parts, extra battery, etc..... :arggg:

If you have the money I would go with the rex. The HDX has a good design but I have heard the "quality of parts" is some times an issue. Give some of the other helis a look too.

I would wait 2 weeks or so because I have a feeling the the value of older radios and the Spectrum line is about to plummet. ;)

DX9/10 going to hit, and the DX7 not the top radio anymore? I should verify with a source I have

Well I am pretty sure what ever Futaba is coming out with will at least match the DX7 ;)

I think a DX6 will help my budget a bit. under 200$ with 4 servos. I don't dare use anything besides 2.4ghz, as we have people that fly planes in the open fields around my house.....and I don't want to create interference for them, or get some from them either.......

I would lean toward the Futaba 401 Gyro as I'm finding my Align gyro is only good for making me a better pilot once I upgrade to the 401
I also wouldn't worry too much about the cell balancer (usually an add on to a charger) as they don't seem to make much difference to me (anyone disagree??). Also I wouldn't spend too much more on a speed control w/ a govenor as setting up your curves isn't too hard and does the same thing in the end (again anyone disagree??)
