So, I'm gonna start my build here soon and have a question.
Gonna use the 105 rear tail blades. Do I need to replace the rear skid? Are folks using the 700E or 700N skid in the back? What about the rear fin? Is that the 700? if so which one.
Thanks a million

I'm using the 700N rear fin, and the 700E real landing strut, and some Edge 105mm tail blades. I have to say, it is much more solid than stock, no tail problems at all anymore. Looks cool too with the rake the 700 struts give.

The 700 E/N skid on the rear would definitely help keep your 105mm tail out of the grass, and the 700 tail fin will help protect the tail. The 700 fin is larger than the 600 by about an inch.

I'm flying the 105mm with the 700 skid on the rear. Personally I don't see the point in using a 700 fin. The rake is about 3°, thats a good 70mm ground clearance for the tail. Plus the normal tail fin is still slightly longer than the 105 tail, anyway. In 60 flights I had zero grass markings on my tail blades, where tail blades used to be my #1 wear part.
One small drawback of the rake is that it gets a bit of a challenge to use a bevel box for adjusting throws. Still can be done by simply placing the remaining 700 skid under the front to level the bird on the bench.
It can also be a bit weird to do a takeoff when the main blades are not level. You wont notice this if you do fast takeoffs but it may be an issue for a beginner.

If you fly inverted and occasionally use the skids as one of your markers for 'orientation' the raked skid angle can cause some confusion in some orientations. My 6HV has only a small angle difference between the skids, boom and disk and I still don't much like that. If I go with the 600E Pro, Along with the 105's I will put BOTH 700 skid mounts. This will keep the skids parallel with the boom. I won't loose any sleep about the loss of the low profile look...

I'm using stock strut in front and 700N strut in back.
