View Full Version : G3.5 Not Realistic Flying At All!
Flying Esky CP2 for 2-3 months now, BCX also (not as much) now and ordered a new 450 V2. Also got G 3.5 and am pretty disappointed with it. Maybe I need a new vid card but my CP2 is 10 times easier to fly than even the .90 birds on sim! I have turned off some settings like shadow to help, any other suggestions? :dontknow

What it is too choppy or too easy to crash?
Well for one the heli is too small when its about 10 feet away (all models). Also, it seems the controls are too touchy. Also when it comes back/overhead the panorama moving makes mee seasick! I do have a kind of weak video card so I dont want to buy that too! Kind of hard to explain (for me) but I thought the real heli would be harder not easier to fly than sim.

Turn on the ZOOM and turn up the scale so it looks bigger

But your compairing it to a Esky.. That's not a real heli..... I have laying around the house and thats all it ever does.
Will try the zoom scale up size option. If you can fly a CP2 or BCPP well you can fly anything! Trex New V2 is being built this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hate to tell you, the Esky is a toy I had one and returned it. Esky has counter rotating blades which is extremely stable and you can fly it while watching TV. It will not teach you to fly any variable pitch helicopters which are 10 times harder. Don't buy counter rotating toys next time. Oh, a slight wind took mine away like a kite. I bought myself a Sabre (very hard to fly and fix pitch only-learned a lot from it) then later a Trex 450se V2 which is very wind resistant, fast and easier than the Sabre when you don't do 3D.

When using G2 you could adjust the scale so that it made your heli respond exactly like the one you are flying in real life. In G3 you can somewhat do the same thing by selecting simulation, select settings, select physics and then play with it by changing the physics %. This will slow the response time down and make it a lot more stable and realistic. You can also add expos and dual rates till you get it like you like it. I agree with you. I basically shelved G3 till I played with it because it was too touchy and not realistic. A number of others felt the same way. You just have to play with it until you are able to get it to fly stable just like you see in the training lessons.
