Hey guys, has anyone mounted their gyro up front on the front mount?

Does it fly fine like that?

Yes, it works fine. If you measure the distance from the main shaft to the two mounting options, you will find it isn't that big of a difference.

Rock,

As Rusty said, either location will work just fine, if you built it CCPM there is room to re-locate the gyro mounting plate inside the front frames.

I'm using a LogicTech 6100 Gyro/Servo combo with this bird. Played with it last night to set up the tail. Holy shi!! that combo is insanely fast and responsive! Woo Hoooo, can't wait to see what kind of tail control it has over my tried-and-true 401!!

Did you know that the 6100 Tail Servo is .05 sec to 60 Deg? AND it has more torque than the S9254? Sweeet!

I think you guys are absolutely right - the slight difference in distance will mean nothing with this combo. But it will help to relocate the weight up front instead of in the back..................

Oh boy oh boy!
