Hi

Does anyone know how to read the battery voltage display on the blade radio? How low may it go and still work properly?

Thanks

Well it's supposed to be so that when the Tx gets down to the yellow lights you should replace your batteries soon, and when they go red you shouldn't fly, but depending on how far away you fly, this might be a gamble. I would say change out your batteries when you get down to 1 or 2 green bars left.

Hello Mrasmm

Thank you for your reply.

Actually, on my TX there are no colored lights exept for the red "on"-light. But it has a LCD display that says "5.2 v".

Maybe we don't have the same TX?

Ohh, you got one of the LCD ones. Regardless what batteries you use, 1.5v (12v) or 1.2v (9.6v), 5.2v is pretty low. I wouldn't let it go below 4.8v before changing batteries just to be safe. You never know how limited the range is until its too late.

Just my 2 cents.

THE CX HAS LED POWER DISPLAY. THE CX2 HAS A LCD SCREEN WHICH THE MANUAL SAYS TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES WHEN THE SCREEN FALLS TO 4.5V OR LESS. :glasses2:

Someone reads the instructions? Must be a first.

LoL, I was just guessing and was pretty close. 4.5 was my first answer then I changed it to 4.8 because 4.5 seemed too low. If you invest in some rechargeable batteries for your Tx, it will save you loads of cash.

Thank you. In my (german) manual there was no word about this. That's why I was asking. Anyway, thanks everybody for your help.
