I find swapping motors and blades a lot like going to the strippers or expensive retaurant, i always leave with an empty wallet and not satisfied!

I am glad that Kontronik is putting a lot of effort into very carefully evaluating the HeliJive to make sure there are no user problems. I really like the company.
I like the black color.

So is bailout done via vbar or with jive setting???
Did you try original vbar gov with first helijive???
I wonder if the heli will wear quicker or not as much?
MrMel

Via VBar to control Auto Abort.

Wear? Less wear for sure, 20% lower peaks (higher avg if you push it though as holding RPM costs power when it comes down to pure wattage)
But just the softness in flight is VERY noticeable, try it, on any machine, just for fun, dont need to overdo it.

Good news.

There is one risk of more wear though, those almost bladestops with restarts which is easy and fun is killer for the tail drivetrain :)

No doubt it's all upside with VBar Gov. Now just wondering if HeliJive has a better softstart(no kick at startup) than YGE or HW?
MrMel

I have absolutely no kick with HW since 5.2, do you? (Soft start enabled in the ESC, and "just perfect" on the thottle low.
HeliJive will require you have Rampup 3 (default) in the VBar, else it getting harsh mid-spoolup, the inital start is controlled by the ESC.

.
VStabi 5.2 Pro
With HW120 hardware 1.0 FW 1.05, Xera 4035 480 - Minor Kick(10 deg), Xera 4530 - Major Kick(30 deg). Soft Start,
I replaced with YGE 160HV and can get less kick. very small kick(2 deg) on 4035, Still Minor( 10 deg) on 4530.

How do you set the motor off setting?

Great stuff! I will buy 2 or 3 helijive once they have finalised it.

How do you set the motor off setting?
Many many times.
1. ESC Endpoints set with Gov Disabled, -100 - +100 in Vbar Tx Screen
2. Then Collective Control = On
3. Remove Blades
4. Move Slider till motor starts, wait, move till motor stops(Note Value)
5. Add 5 as starting point
6. Put Value in Motor Stop
7. Collective Control off
8. Throttle Hold On
9. Mid Stick Throttle
10. Kick Throttle Hold off - Delay? Yes=Change Value
11. Repeat #10 till have lowest value without delay
I think it was around 105 on HW.

Helicraze yes I hovered it with the kontronic gov just to check it and then went straight to vbar gov I have a few small tweaks to make other than that its plug and play I got some info from Mr Mel on the vbar gov and Into the mystic walked me thru the gov setup and the first flight was pretty much flawless I like it better than the jive gov. Its that good!

Initial start = Same as internal modes on a Jive, the first seconds = ESC driving, then it "let control over to Vbar"

I need an ESC for the Goblin, The YGE 160Hv is working flawless in the 700E so that is not going to be changed. No gov glitches from the Phase Output in Vbar Log. Only complaint is YGE has no clue how it works with VBar, they send you to Mikado, Mikado send you to YGE, Evil Circle of nowhere, (accountabilty>resolution)
The reality is the VBar is the head, and the ESC is now the tail of the dog. Sorry if lost in translation, it means the VBar Gov Support determines ESC Selection, not the other way around as it used to be.
Then you have the HeliJive, K took the time to get it right, Mr Mel supports it, not sure could ask any more than that. So the nod should go to HeliJive, Nod meaning a HeliJive is in my future.
Not trying to bash anyone, but the truth is the truth.
