Tx Issue?
Is Vbar gov turned on?
Is pinion too small, RPM maxed?

Ohh just increase normal and see if hS increases. That will narrow it down

It will increase in normal, I have v-bar gov disabled, my LV jive did this when I first got it, I forgot what I had to do but jive 100 worked ever since.. I missing a step

There is no magic here at all or extra step, the Jive is pure simplicity

Normal - 0,40,40,40,40
Idle 1 - Flat 50
Idle Flat 60

You are the only 1 i know trying to set with prog disc. How about doing as per vid and manual??? You cannot select different modes with prog disc

I dislike stick programming because my hearing is not great. I did eventually do as in the vid and it worked but I still had to use the ProgDisc to change other things like BEC voltage and spoolup speed.. I prefer the ProgCard/ProgDisc way of programming things. Its just a shame I couldn't work out how to do everything in one place. All the other Kontronk ESC's allow this.

I jus reprogrammed to mode 4 and all is well.. I'm gonna leave it there

Ah ok. It really need to be stick programmed as you cant do all the modes otherwise.

In the early days you ONLY COULD stick program on the powerjazz but not any more.

Thats the thing with KT, the manual leaves something to desire

hi,

can someone explain to me what just happened?

my setup is HeliJive, Scorp 4525-520LE, WR superBEC, V-Bar PRO, J-Log2 and so on...

i have my HJ on mode6.

http://www.kopterit.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=8246.0;attach=3916 5;image

as you can see the Thottle% value is constant but motor slows down by it self. this happened only once but i'd like to know what caused it. i was able to start good autorotation but then after few seconds motor spooled up again. helijive didnt blink it's led or anything abnormal.

V-Bar log has nothing abnormal either.

what is this?

this happened just after takeoff when i pushed it a bit...

Its a jive thing, timing goes out slows down motor then spools up again, i had one on a rewind mx motor, think it was mags not mounted equidistant. You can try ksa mode if youre not running it already, is this ultimate yy winding or old d?
I couldnt fix mine so out went the motor in went pyro rewind now perfect. Unfortunately jive doesnt like certain motors, you can also try manual timing

Motor is delta winded version and i dont use ksa. This answer was just what i didnt want to hear :(

So i need to try ksa then... And hope it doesnt reduce power so much...

Yup the d wind absolutely ksa sometimes it will help sometimes not. I'd say your best bet if it still happens with ksa is to look at manual timing with progdisk,

whats a sign of jumpy servos when I move my cyclic servos around....master and slave going to vbar powering servos

not sure what ive done?

I've seen this happen on the bench when my 4.8V Rx pack is not charged. Not sure if this is related to your problem but hope it helps.

I've only just started with the Helijive on my 600SX and I initially noticed some twitchiness on the servos too. I am running HV servos but on the minimum of the servos at 6V and the maximum of the Helijive BEC. I too run a master and slave in to my Silverline Vbar.

When I changed the BEC voltage from the default 5.6V to 6V, via the Progdisk, the twitching stopped. I haven't tried it in reverse to prove conclusively that this was the cause of the twitching though.

What servos? Dont use hv servos on the jive bec. I did and a few friends, shutdowns

Hmm, what servos? Were they coreless or brushless HVs? I was planning to run my HJ BEC @ 6v to drive brushless HV servos. :arggg:

I have flown futaba 255hv @ 6v on the jive BEC with no issues as well as 253s, but futaba 157HV requires more amperage than the jive BEC is designed for, This is what Helicraze is mentioning, What servos are you planning on MR Frog!

Either MKS HBL950/980 or Torq BL9180/9188.

I havent ran either on the Jive Bec because there brushless you should be all set you could PM (F1 Rocket) Danny Im pretty sure he is using the MKS 980s now with the jive.

I would only use bls255hv on jive (if you want hv) those mks etc will
Perform terrible on 6v bec

In my sig. 272's and a 256. Specs for servos give a rating at 6V and 7.4V. I have bumped up the Helijive BEC to 6V and run the master and slave to the Silverline. The Helijive BEC is a 5A/15A asI understand it.

HONESTLY if you are running HV servos you should run a HV source of power, ie: 2S lipo or a WR bec to provide the power to where those servos are using what they can deliver. :)
