I have the following in my eShuttle ZXX: CC HV85 ESC, Kontronik Tango 45-08 Motor, running on a Thunder Power TP4600 6SXL battery, spinning CMT carbon 550's.
The problem is that my initial spool up (first 10 seconds or so) is really labored and slow. It seems that there isn't enough power to get it going. For a while I had great results with low power to the motor and a slow spool-up setting in the HV85. However, over time I've had to increase the power to the motor (now set to full) and the spool-up speed set to maximum but it is laboring to get the blades started. Once going, it spools up fine (even slow although it is set to MAX spool-up) and flies fine.
I thought the tail drive belt might be too tight but it spins really freely and actually may be a little too loose. Mechanically, everything is free and moves easily and there is no binding anywhere that I can tell. The 6s battery has 33 charge cycles on it and has never been over-discharged or over-heated and returns to full charge on the 1010C/210v charger/balancer combo.
Any idea what is causing this? Is it a Motor problem or a ESC problem?
TIA,
Clark
