TP1010 Software update? Not working...

OK, TP strikes again with their wonderful directions. Bob, need another video idea? :)

I just got the USB cable. I THINK I am following the directions properly.

I hook everything up, hit the upgrade button, and get two error messages. Like the directions state, I just keep hitting upgrade. The second time it tries to connect, and all I get is "waiting for response". Everything appears to be hooked up correctly. I have now started the process from scratch two times and it keeps sticking at "waiting for response".

I have disconnected everything and re-connected even using different USB ports.

Any ideas???

1. Did you install the usb driver? If so may need to restart your computer.

2. When I did mine I downloaded the firmware updates to my machine. put them in the main folder of the update program. hook it up and run it. should be good to go from there. (I cant remember if the update files come as a .zip or .rar file, If so you will need to extract them first.)

try that and see what happens.

OK, I ended up having to install the USB driver three different times. It finally took hold. I am not sure why it did not install properly the first two times.

Once I did this, it connected and installed in about 30 seconds.
