It wags the same distance each direction 2-3 inches. I've changed servos, I've changed engines, I've changed the gain from one extreme to the other. I am now buying a new 401 to try. I've had this stinger for over 5 months and have yet to be ablel to fly it!! These electronics that are in it have worked fine in a Raptor prior to being but in this thing.
FOR SALE: ONE NON-FLYING STINGER 90. HAS NEVER FLOWN AND FUTURE DOES NOT LOOK MUCH BETTER. CHEAP. TRADE FOR???

I dont know what to say Deano, I've never had a problem that wasnt something simply overlooked by myself, besides 2 main gears last year but thats long resolved. reading back turning needles to factory specs are a long way from being tuned for your climate/conditions. You have a hyper also which is a breeze to tune comparatively, C-spec have three needles right? All must be fine tuned. If the wag is not electronics, I would bet motor/ mixture. Airframes an airframe and besides a loose or slipping belt, dont think thats your problem. Hope you get it resolved, one way or another.

This c-spec has one needle. I will wait till the 401 comes in and see what that does. I will also get a buddy over here to take a look with a different set of eyes.

Still waiting on a gyro 401 to arrive. To be honest, I don't feel like the wag is in the electronics. I will change out gyro when it arrives and that will be the last thing that I could try. If that is not it then it is somewhere in the heli that is well hidden. Could the thrust bearings being installed backwards cause the wag? If if so I will check there also.

I would imagine if the thrust bearing/s were installed backward that could cause some weird behavior. Smaller id goes toward the grip. Hope that helps.

There is a flat washer in the bearing stack up also.
That flat washer goes between the thrust washer and the outer radial bearing.
Putting the washer in the wrong place could cause the grips to be sticky at flying speed.

Okay, changed gyro to new 401 and same wag. So this has notthing to do with the electronics and everything to do with the stinger. Should I try to change the main gear since it seems to have a high spot? Could that cause it? I have all but given up. I have never had this much trouble with a heli. Something factory assembled is causing problems.

Changed the main gear and guess what, same thing is happening. I give up. I am officially giving up on Stingers and going back to Raptors. I have never in my life had this much trouble with a bird and this one, I have never been able to even fly. Stinger 90 for sale if anyone is interested, no electronics or engine.

Update. Started heli and hovered about 2 feet with wagging tail and heard a noise so I landed it. One tail blade was gone-bolt still in just missing a tail blade. It was the CF that comes with the kit. This heli has never had the chance to fly yet because of the wagging problem so I am guessing it had a bad root. Now I am ordering a new tail blade shaft because it got bent after swinging one blade for awhile.

yep, I sold it. After replacing the tial blades and a new shaft that bent after spinning one blade, I bought all new replacements , took it up and still had a little bit of a wag. Not as bad as it was but not to my liking. So I am going Raptor only.
