Hi, I am trying to get a faster piro. rate on my heli. using the 601 gyro - I have the mechanical setting limits all the way to max.
How are the guys getting such a fast piro. rate - are they setting a mix to lower the gain at the outer limits? - if so, how do I do that????

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
Go into the menu on the gyro. Scroll thru and look for the Channel Gain menu.
It will look like this.
ACGA if in AVCS mode. NCGA if in normal mode.
The A at the end is the stick direction. It will change to B when the stick is moved that direction.

Increase the precentage each direction. This will make the rudder more aggressive

What this feature is there for, is so the piro rate can be made the same in AVCS and normal mode. But I use this feature to just increase the piro rate.
Rudder ATV or AFR will also increase the piro rate.

If you have the mechanical limits maxed out in the gyro. Then I would think you need to go out more on the servo arm. It should piro like a blur with the limits set to about 110% each way if your out on the servo arm enough. You want at least above 100% each direction and the slider just barely touching at each full deflection.

Hehe ya, I've seen one piro so fast it threw the battery out.
