So, I broke my inner shaft top. Replacement was sold in whole shaft assemblies with plastic replacement at $10, aluminum at $20 at Local Hobby Shop. Seemed to that if I got just one breakage less, it was worth it. Can't comment on anything else, but seems to fly better than with original parts.

Just take the screw out that holds the bar in place, that make the bar just pop out when it hits.
