Does anyone know where I can get some flybar paddles that look better than the stock paddles and preferably perform better. Carbon fiber would be nice.

RStacey said he's using Hornet paddles (per his "good setup" thread) but I haven't been able to find them yet...
I'm also looking at paddles from the Compy300, but not sure how they look up close & personal. They're white, but many parts are available in black, if you ask LINK (http://www.aero-fever.com/product_info.php?cPath=20_24&products_id=353)
How about these? LINK (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMGW6&P=0#tech)

And here's a last link with several options : LINK (http://www.fxaeromodels.com/index.php?cPath=171_294)

Those hummingbird CF paddels look nice but will they work with the CPP? Yeah I saw that RStacey is using the Hornet paddles. I have found a lot of aftermarket paddles but I am not sure what size the stock CPP paddles are and what will work well with the CPP. I will not sacrifice performance for looks when it comes to the paddles, but if I can find some that are as good or better that also look nicer that would be cool. Well if I have to experiment with new paddles what should I keep in mind? Size? Weight? I assume I should keep to about the same size and lighter than the stock CPP paddles. I just don't have the CPP Paddle demensions or weight to compare. I'll probably buy the CF HB, Hornet, and Lighted Hornet paddles and try em all unless someone who knows better can help.

Unfortunately, I think trial and error will be the best bet. And personal preference will play a big part in what works best. (esthetics aside)
The only real limiter a to which one you can try is the diameter of the CPP flybar. I *think* it's ~1.5-2mm.
All of the properties of each paddle can have a distinct effect, and even if they were listed out, I'd have no clue how to interpret it:
length
width
weight
chord
thickness
c/g

ok, Well that is one more thing that will help out. Do you think the CF paddles will weigh more than the stock plastic paddles?

hmmm... are you after faster cyclic? check out the ones at helihobby. they have both the lightened ones (with holes, not the ones kyle's using), and carbon fibre ones.
look for "3D Paddles / Carbon Fiber and Lightened" almost all the way down the page: http://helihobby.com/html/blade_helicopter.html

Well I am only doing very basic flight right now (hovering and FF) but I don't see any reason to hold off on increasing my cyclic. Do you think the CF would make a slight increase in cyclic? or are they basically the same as stock just cooler? I am really quite ignorant in regards to the paddles so my decision at this point is mostly uninformed. I know that moving the flybar weights in will increase cyclic so from that I can imagine further weight reduction on the flybar will further speed up cyclic. Does increasing the cyclic make the heli even more twitchy? Guess I could always add a second set of weights if the lightned paddles are too much for me. LOL, ok I'll stop this debate with myself.

yes, lightened paddles will make it more twichy and balloon up in ff more. i doubt cf paddles will make cyclic THAT much faster if at all. if your only doing hovering and ff, i don't really see why you'll want some other paddles, esp. if your gonna go with lighter paddles then add more weights at the same time.

Yeah well the main reason for new paddles is because I like changing things on my CPP. Tinkering with stuff, ya know. Sounds like I had better stick with the CF for my purposes. I just moved my flybar weights all the way in so I can test fly it tomorrow and see how it changes the feel of the heli.
I apreciate everyone's input. My research was going nowhere on this subject and you guys have improved my understanding in a hurry.
Thanks again.
