Warning: Try at your own risk!!!!!
I got a 1/35 scale Blackhawk model for gits and shiggels to see if the CX2 hardware would fit in it. It fits almost perfect without the battery tray. I dremeled four holes in the bottom of the fuse and put the battery tray screws back in and it looks sweet IMO. Problem was the CX2 wouldnt lift it. I told the guys atmy LHS about it and they said run your CPP stock 3S in it. I was hesitant to try it but I figured wtf?
I have Vortex motors in my CX2 (they were only $8 for two) and I have a extra set. I really didnt care to much if I blew the 4-1 so I tried it.
Well, the 3S works awesome so far. Yes I may destroy something but I'm personaly not to worried about it. The CX2 with a 3S not only lifted the heavier fuse but out performs the stock 2S setup. I'm going to try it outside and see if the added weight and power helps in low winds. I'll post some pics tonight if anyone wants to see it.
