For those of you interested in this aircraft:

I had previously stated that it would be out Dec 1st and available through Mike's Models in OK. Well, there has been a change in plans. The prototype has been overwhelmingly well received by everyone that has flown it including the top IMAC pilots. Because of this the kit will more than likely be offered by a well known "Empire" in the near future. No words on price or new release date but I'll let you know as soon as it becomes official.

Thank You,

Well, I know it's taking forever but it will be well worth the wait. The latest word is that this kit will be released by Tower/Great Planes in a few more weeks however it will be called the REFLECTION or something similar. There were some issues with paint and the name that slowed down the production process.

Thanks Chris, so far everyone who has flown it has been as impressed as you. The designer Greg Ward really came up with a winner on this one!

Why the gearbox? I would have thought they would have made it outrunner ready. Everyone is going side-force generator crazy!

Just hack it up James, I am 99% sure Rob's had an AXI on it. I'm with you, the other plus side of the AXI's is the LONG run times. Gottal LOVE that!!

Quiet, long run times, quiet, not as much to break upon impact, quiet, no shafts to bend, oh did I say quiet, haha

The gearbox and stock motor help keep the price appealing. Throwing an AXI on there should be no problem for those wanting better performance. I'm not sure of exactly what hardware is going to be included in the kit. There may be an option for the firewall so you can put on a brushless. If not you'll need a small peice of lightply.

The following is what I'm using but not exclusive.
AXI 2208/34 motor
AXI 22 series mount
10X4.75 APC prop
Castle Creations Speed Control
Futaba R124F Micro Rx w/micro inputs (requires short FM crystal)
Futaba 3108M Micro Servos 17 in/oz w/Micro Plug
2 cell 7.4 V Li-po 340 mah (you can use a bigger pack but too much weight makes it fly a little different) You will probably want to order 3 or more of these packs because you only get approx 5 minutes per flight)

And odorless CA and kicker for build and repair!!
