Did your Hurrican build up with this offset at the main/tail gear? If so, is there any way to lower the main gear to get rid of this offset??

Is there any way to raise the metal gear with respect to the bearing block or to raise the entire gear assembly??

Not much information on the RJX website about the heli. But I am going to guess that the heli has a constant drive tail. If it does I would consider that a normal gap. You do not want the main gear touching the tail drive gear if it does have a constant drive tail system. The main gear and clutch bell should stop while doing an autorotation. As the tail drive gear continues to turn with the main rotor blades and driving the tail blades.

I added a shim to the top of the main gear, on top of the factory shim, to get it to line up to my liking.

OK - stupid question. I've tried to get "shims" before at places like Lowes, and all they have is washers which are too thick.

Where did you go to find a shim that would fit right?

I had one laying around that worked. It was nylon and I think I got it at Lowes.
