I can't seem to get my heli to hover perfectly...I am constantly adding left aileron and forward trim. The issue is when I push the trim tab to the left, it affects the forward flight. Understand? I guess setting the swashplate perfectly even will help. Any advice on how best to set this and verify it's 100% level?

the paddles should be inline with the part that they go through on the head. ... also toy around with the gyro gain and prop adjustments on the rx. and most importantly read the book that came with it. i added one weight on each side of the flybar, that tamed the cpp a good amount.

i noticed a good improvment over stock with a aluminum swashplate. i was told thats cuz the plastic flex's more. it helped with the drifitng problem i was having

also from what ive heard and read its going to be extremely hard to get a cpp to hover perfectly due to its size. if you can keep your hover to within say a 3 or so foot box im sure you could hover a larger heli alot tighter. lest thats what ive been told. i'll let you know in 3 to 6 months with my trex 450 is in the air.

To get the swashplate level, the pitch on one blade has to be the same 360 degrees around the heli. (of course, the other blade has to be the same, or stated differently, the tracking has to be good.) It is really hard to describe how to do this, but I'll try as best I can. Set the swash as level as possible by eye at first. Then start at one point, with the same blade always. Call that 0 degrees. Set pitch to 0 degrees, make sure it is always there. (like at half stick in idle up). Then move the blade 90 degrees. The pitch should remain at 0. If it doesn't, and this is where it is hard to describe, you will have to move one or more servo links get it at 0. Then recheck point 1, 0 degrees on the compass. Now move to 180 degs. Do the same again. Then 270 degs. Same again. When you have it perfect, your blades will read 0 degrees on the pitch gauge at any and every point on the compass, in other words, anywhere you put the blade around the heli.

I hope this helps, and sorry I can't describe it better, but once you figure it out, you will see what I mean.

some one should make a video of that. ive been setting my pitch by eye, with out checking it at different spots on the rotation.
