I have all channels set to "hold" except Throttle, which I programmed to low (zero) stick.

I assume that this means if the rec. locks out, the throttle stops, however I fly in Idle1 which would have a 90% throttle at low stick ? ? ? ?

No it means the throttle will go to idle. Fire up the reciever, give her full throttle and turn off the transmitter and watch what happens, try it in idle up too.

Only do the above if it is a nitro heli and has a throttle servo <G>
If it is electric do not try the above unless you unplug the wire to the motor.

Hehe ya good point, I was assuming nitro and an actual throttle servo.
