This will be a third in a series of resin sealed balsa shell fuselages for 300 size micros. This time I chose the EC120 Colibri with Fenestron tail to change the pace a little on these builds. I am using a Blade CP airframe with an EDF50H for the tail and an HDX outrunner for the main. AUW of this fuselage should be around 1.5 ounces when completed.

Here is the Colibri with its' royal blue pearl lacquer. Windows, trim (vinyl graphics), skid fairings, etc is all that is needed to finish up. Should be flying in a few days. I want to change the color of the fan impeller but haven't quite figured out just how to do that yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated? :?

Pickup a copy of Model Airplane Magazine and inside there is a article of Rebuild's AStar. Very sweet looking machine. No one would think it was made of balsa by the quality of work Rebuild has put into it. I think the EC120 is worth more than a cover shot in the upcoming issue!

Kinda like getting to play ball with a pro. Or get in the ring with Ali. Great work.

What nice remarks you guys! Just happy ya like it! Well here she is (again  ) with the trim, finally! The head is compliments of Buzzkill and I got a super deal on a used BCP from a poster (AKA} soulreaper. Thanks to super friends like this, the mechanical side of this build was in the bag. Very much appreciated you guys!! I am still fine tuning the tx program for this and there remains a few piddly things to take care of before I give it a good fly but the hover is nice and I kept it to around 400 grams so it should be a pretty nice little flying machine. :D

All I can say is " HOT " like Jalapeno's. Don't forget to make a video of your 120, so we can drool even more! :D
