ESC & 3 in 1 weights

I am working on an all brushless heli (that frankenchopper I'm still beating on) and have ended up with several different parts and though a weight comparison might be interesting for you guys.

(and I picked up the 3 in 1 prior to my decision to go BL on the tail)

Anyhow here they are:

E-Flite 20 amp ESC 15.3 grams
Castle/Phoenix 25 ESC 17.9 grams
Castle/Phoenix 10 ESC 8.0 grams
E-Flite 3 in 1 12.1 grams

This is "as bought" with the wires & connectors exactly as they come out of the package.

Great info. Did you get the castlelink USB interface?

Nope... just a ziplock baggy with an instruction booklet, the product card and the ESC.

Same with the 25.

I didn't see an option for the castlelink :(

Its a seperate USB interface and software. You can pick it up for $25. You're going to need it if your doing the BL tail. Its good to have anyway even with the main.

I ordered the USB cable/software from Tech-mp.com. (AND a couple Li-Poly Battery Monitors, AND a Triton charger AND a balancer... :shock: )

ehhh... sorta, I guess.. except every big purchase like this puts off my TRex by that much longer...

LOL.....I hear that. I've been trying not to buy stuff so I can get a trex but I end up spending $50 here $50 there for my blades. I need an intervention lol.
