Curious can any reps or anyone with Gaui tell us the weight with or without batteries. I am guessing lighter or well within range of other 90Es?

I would love to know those specs as well. I would guess about 0.5 - 1 pound lighter than the 700E dry. Frames are half the distance apart and Direct to Swash will Help with weight a bit too. My guess is about 6.5 to 7 pounds Dry. At least I'm hoping Its 7 or less.. Would be amazing to see a 90E at around 10.5 or less with 65C 5100's. My 700E AUW with 65C 5100's packs is 11.4lbs

but if it's lighter and more efficient and ;)..... 5100's might be an oversized , not needed to get the same result pack ;) maybe even more weight shed by not having to lug around extra mass.
But really, i have no idea but am sure the GAUI best power to weight ratio will be in effect:bacon

The X7 Weighs in at
11lbs with 2 6s 4200mah Hyperion Packs
11 1/5lbs with 2 6s 5000mah Hyperion Packs
We have not tried any other packs at this time.
Hope this helps.

Its probably the power that makes it fly like it does.
Its surprising though to see the auw close to the 700e

Its surprising though to see the auw close to the 700eAgreed.. I thought for sure it would be at least a pound lighter from looking at the pics. Still, the frames being half the distance apart as the 700E will make for a SOLID Frame set-up. and Direct to swash will take ANY slop out of the equation. I cant wait to get mine... I also cant wait to see one fly in a few days at IRCHA....

My stretched T-Rex 600 with 690mm blades, 700 tail, SK3 T700 motor weights 6.4lbs (2.9 kg) without lipos. 12S lipos add around 2.3lbs. So total weight is around 8.7lbs (4 kg)
Is X7 heavier? Strange...

Thank you. I have checked. You are right. I fly relatively low weight lipos 2x6S 3Ah 20C (less than 1kg). Definitely I will buy stronger lipos, 40C at least.
Those lipos give me 5min flights with low RPM.
I have discovered lately that heating them up considerably increases available power.
During winter I started to warm them up. result was surprisingly good. I achieved much more power from them than during the summer.
I am planing to buy cheap 15$ heater from HK to heat lipos pre flight.

Just for comparison, the 700E DFC HV weighs 5.08kg with two 4500mah 6S 50C Lipos (720g each).

on the field we had masure our helis...
voodoo strech to 700 was 5kg
my x7 was 5.4kg (5000mah)
logo 700 was 5.8kg (5000mah)
setup on x7 and logo was almost identical. I cant remenber the lipos in the voodoo

Wow, dat is zwaar! :P
Wow, that's heavy!
Especially that Logo 700, something must be wrong:confused:
Or it is just really that heavy...

I was there when those heli's were measured, it really is that heavy. You will see why when you hold one in your hands. The L700 is huge.
Ah, that's a shame, such a waste of performance...

The X7 has a larger rotor diameter compared to a couple other models with the same blades, so it can get away with being a little heavier and still have the same disc loading. Even if the X7 is a little heavier, the disc is larger so apples to oranges and all that. logo 700 seems to have the same as the X7. Blade grips and head block must be a little wider on the X7 and logo than models like the 700DFC to achieve a larger disc.
eg.
700DFC 1562mm
GAUI X7 1610mm
logo 700 1610mm

That's what I'm talking about! Very good observation.
However, this is only when the 700DFC is flown with the Align 690's, the Gaui X7 with 710's and the Logo 700 with Edge 713 (standard, as far as I know).
Have a look at this topic:

I was not sure on blades that they were using for spec measument, but it comes down to bolt spacing in the end, and looks like the X7 has a pretty wide head compared to others, which is a good thing. large disc = great/low disc loading. so even if the X7 weighs a little more, it wont matter as the disc is larger over all.
I suppose if someone had an inclination, they could crunch the numbers on actual disc load for different models running 690mm @ a couple average weights, but thats another thread all together..

What have you got on your L700 to make it so heavy? Weighed mine a few days ago and its 5.4kgs ready to fly... Im using a BEC and Revoelectrix 5000/60Cs..
Im considering the X7 as a backup to the L700 as it too looks like solid and tough heli as is the L700..
I was initially worried about the extra weight of the L700 but after flying it ive gone from liking lightweight helis to those that are on a heavier side as they feel like they stay in some maneuvers better than lighter helis..

Granted mine isn't done yet, I have no servos in it, and no BEC yet. But I weighed it on the bathroom scale and it came out to 10 lbs on the nose with Gens Ace 25C 6s 4000's. The YGE 160 with heatsink is something else I must say. This thing is huge. I would imagine with the stock motor (HKIII 4035-500) it'll be cool as a cucumber. I plan on buying some higher C rated 6s 5300 packs. Was thinking Gens Ace 6s 5300 45C. I don't do any hard flying and don't need to spend tons on batts the way I currently fly.
But I love this bird so far. It just looks wonderful. The skinny frame is super rigid. It's just a beautiful helicopter. I am going to buy some depends for the first time I spool it up live outside. The biggest thing I've flow before this is an X5.

10lbs must be old scale? Friend just built one up few weeks ago. Very basic setup nothing heavy additional and 12.39lbs was auw on calibrated long bed postal scale. Peeps should mention scale type bathroom scales and small cheap foot pad scales are no good.
And Tim ya logo 700 should have been called a 750 as it can run 755mm mains and dwarfs X7 around 12.5lbs. Not that much heavier really, .2 of a lb lots erratic weights here why I mention scales. Anyhow no matter it's whatever you enjoy and how it feels for you flying it.
