I am wondering if the above mentioned servos and gyro work with a JR 790 FM reciever? Are there mods I need to make? Any info would be greatly appreciated as well as any suggestions. I want to put this in a T-Rex 600, but already have the JR 7202 Transmitter. The servos I am considering are as follows:
3 x Futaba 9252 servos
GY401 Gyro with a 9254 Servos
Thank you in advance

Virtually all servos and gyros work with all receivers. Only incompatibility I know of is old Airtronics servos that the conectors were wried differently. And of course older servos that use different plugs or use 4 wires. But we are talking OLD stuff. :)
You will need to mode the Futaba connectors. Futaba uses a small tab to only allow the servo to be plugged in one way. You have to cut those tabs off with a razor blade or hobby knife.

Yes they will work. You will have to modify the servo plug. That is simple. There is a key on the Futaba servo plugs. It is a flat piece of plastic that protrudes from one side of the servo plug. Take a hobby knife ( Xacto) and trim off the plastic. Then you can plug the Futaba plugs into the JR receiver.
The other corner is already beveled on the Futaba plugs similar to the JR plugs.

Thanks guys for the info, I am still pretty new to the hobby. I have a Raptor .30 and love it, but think the Trex is the next step. Once again thanks for the info.
